BoulevardYou have found it. Boulevard, California is the home of the world-famous Wisteria Chocolate. Just get off the freeway at the Boulevard Exit, turn south, go several blocks and turn left onto Highway 94. Its half a block on your right. For such a rural place, lots of things go on in Boulevard. Astronomers throw stargazing parties regularly because of the clear nights. The country around Boulevard is a popular area for running drugs and aliens across the border just a few miles south of Boulevard. Train-spotters won't want to miss the Carrizo Gorge Railroad Trestle bridge which curves through Goat Canyon. It's one of the longest wooden trestle bridges in the world. The nearby Desert Tower offers a panoramic view of the Imperial Valley below and as far as the Gulf of California. It was constructed in celebration of the highway being put through from Phoenix to San Diego in the 1930's. The old highway can still be seen to one side of the road.
